"Transcending" is an artwork that exploded out of me after a spell of artists' block. I really enjoyed creating the dreamlike sky and clouds, combined with the whimsical kite and stitched-up wound. To me, this piece is about enduring a hardship or trauma, and recovering from that experience and using it to better yourself and/or your life.
